(We’ll contact a few in the session too.)
Overview
These sessions are super practical - they are all about finding the people and organisations that book events and those that have events coming up.
You will leave the first session with a tailored database of bookers, enough to achieve your annual booking target. You'll have the knowledge of exactly where to find who you are looking for, how to approach them and get their attention.
By the end of session 2 you will have a simple customer journey that will allow you to do more business with every client that books you so that you can grow your business easily.
Scripts, templates, recordings and background materials are all be provided.
Session 1
We will begin with clarifying who you are targeting and what they are looking for. We will audit your online presence to ensure that any prospects we reach out to see what they need to see so that they are happy to connect, engage and work with you.
Next we will work through the four prospecting techniques we have used to grow our Speaker Bureau business and apply them to your speaking business. These are:
Easy Wins
There are prospects everywhere – you’ll be surprised how many there are around you. Let’s start with the very easy wins. And let’s reach out to one or two as we go.
Low Hanging Fruit
I love low hanging fruit, it’s easy to pick. This technique is a lot like picking low hanging fruit. Depending on where you are starting from, it could yield all the prospects you will ever need without having to use any other methods.
Cloning
When you have found your ideal prospects/clients then we want to clone them, I’ll show you how.
An Event Directory
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you had a directory of paying events, when they were taking place and who was running them? It’s easy to get lists of events where you are paid peanuts or you can speak for free, but it’s also possible to create a list of paying events. It takes a bit of time, but I’ll show you where they are all hiding in plain sight. This is my favourite technique, I save the best till last.
Session 2
Once you have acquired a client and delighted them with your speech you can move onto the next client or you can build a longer relationship and do more with each client. Many organisations want to do more with the experts that they bring ensure that what has been shared is built on. Many organisations have several departments, divisions, locations, that can all benefit from working with you. This is where we put a process and customer journey in place to allow you to do more with every client that books you to help you grow your business easily and systematically.
